Quote-Along The Big Lebowski September 17th
You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. I’m sure you all do the usual for recreation: bowl, drive around, the occasional acid flashback, but that all changes on September 17th. I’m sure you’ve heard already, but here is another reminder to make sure you don’t accidentally double-book yourself. September 17th is the launching of the greatest film event of the Fall – the Quote-Along Classic Series, and we’re starting with the most quotable film of the last 20 years: The Big Lebowski.
We’ve got Solomon Seigel mixing up the Dude’s beverage of choice, the “Caucasian,” of course, plus there’s a costume contest, so get out that purple jumpsuit you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear – it’s the perfect time.
Quote-Along Big Lebowski (14A: frequent coarse language; violence) Grab your finest bathrobe, and join the Dude as he recovers his rug: it really tied the room together. Prizes for best costumes.
The Dude abides Saturday, September 17th – 8pm (doors@ 7:00) Vic Theatre, 808 Douglas.
Tickets at the door. $10 +HST (cash only, 19+ event)
We’ve got a Facebook event page started, and the quoting has already begun.
Quote-Along Pulp Fiction (18A: violence; coarse language)
Just imagine a room full of people doing their best Sammy Jackson impersonation – and try to keep a straight face. Prizes for costumes, $5 Milkshakes with Bourbon, and Beer in glasses, like they do it in France.
Tell us what Marsellus Wallace looks like on Saturday, October 15th – 8pm (doors@ 7:00)
Quote-Along Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (14A: sexual content; coarse language) –
Quote-Along with the Channel Four News Team, and
remember: this movie is based on actual events. Only the names, locations and events have been changed. We’ve got prizes for costumes, and we’re serving scotchy scotch scotch to go down, down into your belly. Beer too.
Hey everyone! Come and see how good we look Saturday, November 12th – 8pm (doors@ 7:00)
Quote-Along Monty Python and the Holy Grail (PG: violence)
Grab your coconuts and travel along with King Arthur’s fearless Knights of the Round Table on their silly adventure. Prizes for costumes, and Ale served at the bar.
