A pirate ship is one of the oddest items for sale at a Nanaimo store. The 28-foot ketch has been a labour of love for craftsman Terry Renner, who designed the ship from his imagination. It’s also become a neighbourhood attraction, stopping hundreds of strangers in their tracks as they look up with awe at the ship jutting out from the backyard of Renner’s home in Kerr Street.
