Victoria BC school are considered among the best in Canada and North America. The Greater Victoria School District provides top-quality education for approximately 20,000 students in 26 Elementary Schools, 10 Middle Schools, and 7 Secondary Schools.
In addition, there are a number of internationally ranked private schools in the greater Victoria BC area, including elite boarding and day schools such as St. Michaels University School, Glenlyon Norfolk School and St. Margaret’s School.
Plus, there are many religiously-affiliated private schools. Island Catholic Schools, operated by the Catholic Diocese of Victoria BC, operates four elementary schools and one high school, St. Andrews Regional High School.
Pacific Christian School, a non-denominational Christian school, serves over 500 families and 1000 students. Christ Church Cathedral School, operated by the Anglican Church,is a K-8 school on Vancouver Street that now serves 154 students.
In addition, Victoria BC boasts one of the most highly rated universities in Canada, the University of Victoria (Uvic). There are also other post-secondary colleges, including Camosun College, Royal Roads University and the University of Canada-West.
Finally, Victoria BC is the home to numerous specialty schools, including the Victoria College of Art, numerous English language schools, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, the Pacific Film and New Media Academy, the Canadian College of Performing Arts, and many others.
